Marcell grew up in a dysfunctional and unstable household. His mother, Margot Orsini, tried to protect him and his sister Yana from the conflicts inside their home, but she received little support from their father, Francisco, who consistently avoided his parental responsibilities.
Because Francisco repeatedly caused problems at his workplaces, the family moved from one home to another throughout Marcell’s childhood. The constant changes prevented him from maintaining friendships and made it increasingly difficult for him to adapt academically. Each school used different methods, and his performance gradually declined as a result.
The constant moving ended during Marcell’s adolescence, when his parents formally separated. Margot became the primary person responsible for the household, while Francisco remained an inconsistent financial presence, disappearing for long periods despite still living there at times.
Francisco’s brother, Alejandro, voluntarily began helping Margot financially and taking care of the children. He became the closest thing Marcell had to a stable father figure during this period. However, the separation of his parents and the instability surrounding it had lasting consequences for Marcell’s physical and emotional health.
Once the family remained in one place, Marcell finally had the opportunity to form lasting relationships. However, because he had never learned how stable friendships were supposed to work, he struggled to recognize healthy and harmful behavior. This led him into several relationships and situations that left a lasting negative impact on him.
After one final experience in his hometown, Marcell decided to leave and start over somewhere far away. He moved into a small apartment with Andro, a boy he had met through an online game he moderated, and Martha, Andro’s chicken.
Starting over proved far more difficult than expected. Marcell had not completed university, which severely limited his employment opportunities. He moved through a long series of jobs but continued to struggle financially. Andro did not have a stable income either, leaving Marcell responsible for most of the apartment’s expenses.
As his debts accumulated, Marcell began to question whether leaving home had been a mistake. One day, hoping to clear his mind, he walked toward a cinema near the apartment. There, he met Camilo, the person who would permanently change the direction of his life.
